Roger Lawrence est le Vice-Président d’ALDA et membre du Conseil d’Administration en tant que membre individuel du Royaume-Uni, représentant le Conseil Municipal de Wolverhampton. Jusqu’en 2024, il a été Trésorier de l’Association.
En effet, Roger Lawrence a dirigé le Conseil Municipal de Wolverhampton de 2002 à 2019, a été désigné Conseil de l’année 2017 (MJ) et Leader de Conseil de l’année 2018 (LGIU). M. Lawrence reste un conseiller élu, avec des rôles régionaux pour les transports et les questions d’asile et de migration. Il est également directeur non exécutif de Birmingham Airport Holdings. Roger est titulaire d’un doctorat de l’université de Bristol en politique régionale européenne (relations transfrontalières en Europe centrale et orientale).
M. Lawrence soutient l’ALDA et en est le trésorier depuis 2008. Il ressent fortement le besoin de soutenir notre leadership dynamique et résilient et son bilan d’innovation, comme le montrent ALDA+ et ALDA Med, tout en ne négligeant pas notre mission originale dans les Balkans occidentaux et le Partenariat oriental. Sa participation à ALDA repose sur cette vision d’une UE forte collaborant avec nos voisins et renforçant les capacités à la fois des gouvernements locaux et de la société civile. Il soutient également l’engagement de l’ALDA en faveur des objectifs de développement durable.
Roger Lawrence è il Vicepresidente di ALDA e membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione come membro individuale del Regno Unito, rappresentando il Wolverhampton City Council. Fino al 2024 è stato il Tesoriere dell’Associazione.

La sua partecipazione in ALDA si basa su questa visione di una forte UE che collabora con i nostri vicini e costruisce le capacità sia dei governi locali che della società civile. Sostiene inoltre l’impegno di ALDA per lo sviluppo sostenibile.
Roger Lawrence is the Vice President of ALDA and a member of the Governing Board as individual member from the United Kingdom, representing Wolverhampton City Council. Until 2024 he was the Treasurer of the Association.
Indeed, Roger Lawrence led Wolverhampton City Council from 2002-2019, Council of the year 2017 (MJ), Council Leader of year 2018 (LGIU). Mr Lawrence remains an elected councillor with regional roles for transport and asylum/ migration issues. He is also a non-exec Director of Birmingham Airport Holdings. Roger holds a doctorate from the University of Bristol in European Regional Policy (cross border relations in Central and Eastern Europe).
Mr Lawrence is supporting ALDA and act as Treasurer since 2008. He has a strong feeling of the need to support our vibrant and resilient leadership and it’s record of innovation evidenced by ALDA+ and ALDA med while not neglecting our original mission in the western Balkans and Eastern Partnership.
His participation in ALDA is based on this vision of a strong E.U. working with our neighbors and building the capacity of both local government and civil society. He also supports ALDA’s commitment to sustainable development goals.
