Mohammed Mustafa

Mohammed è il Project Manager del Migration Thematic Hub di ALDA, con sede a Vicenza, e gestisce i progetti dell’UE, spinto dalla passione per gli studi sulla migrazione e i diritti umani. Ha una vasta esperienza nella gestione di progetti finanziati dall’UE come AMIF, CERV e altre iniziative non UE. Laureato in Ingegneria meccanica e Gestione di progetti di sviluppo, ha conseguito anche un Master di secondo livello in Relazioni internazionali, cooperazione e sviluppo.

Mohammed ha iniziato la sua carriera in Africa orientale, lavorando direttamente con rifugiati, migranti e sfollati interni, dove ha costruito una forte rete regionale. In seguito è passato a gestire progetti in tutta l’Africa orientale e settentrionale, sviluppando brief di progetto e navigando in complessi paesaggi di finanziamento.

In Italia, Mohammed ha lavorato con la Fondazione E4Impact su diversi progetti in Africa e Medio Oriente. Le sue competenze comprendono lo sviluppo di progetti, il monitoraggio e la valutazione, il budgeting e la pianificazione strategica. Ha ottenuto le certificazioni PMD Pro+, PMP, Spend Analysis Budgeting e Monitoraggio e valutazione.

In precedenza, Mohammed ha lavorato come Country MEAL and Reporting Specialist presso COOPI e come coordinatore per UN-IOM in Sudan. Ha inoltre collaborato con il Consiglio danese per i rifugiati nella risposta ai disastri al confine tra Sudan ed Etiopia.

Parla correntemente l’inglese e l’arabo e sta perfezionando la conoscenza dell’italiano. È appassionato di viaggi, diversità e inclusione e sfrutta la sua esperienza interculturale e le sue competenze tecniche per sostenere la missione di ALDA.

Mohammed est le Responsable de Projet du Pôle Migration d’ALDA basé à Vicence, où il gère des projets financés par l’UE, animé par une passion pour les études sur la migration et les droits humains. Il possède une vaste expérience dans la gestion de projets financés par l’UE, tels que AMIF, CERV et d’autres initiatives non européennes. Il est titulaire d’un diplôme de Licence en Génie Mécanique et Gestion de Projets de Développement, ainsi que d’un Master de deuxième niveau en Relations Internationales, Coopération et Développement.

Mohammed a commencé sa carrière en Afrique de l’Est, travaillant directement avec des réfugiés, des migrants et des personnes déplacées internes (PDI), où il a établi un solide réseau régional. Il a ensuite géré des projets à travers l’Afrique de l’Est et du Nord, en élaborant des documents de projet et en naviguant dans des paysages de financement complexes.

En Italie, Mohammed a travaillé avec la Fondation E4Impact sur divers projets en Afrique et au Moyen-Orient. Ses compétences incluent le développement de projets, la surveillance et l’évaluation, la budgétisation et la planification stratégique. Il est certifié en PMD Pro+, PMP, Analyse des Dépenses et Budgétisation, et Surveillance et Évaluation.

Auparavant, Mohammed a travaillé en tant que Spécialiste MEAL et Reporting pour COOPI et comme Coordinateur pour l’UN-IOM au Soudan. Il a également collaboré avec le Conseil Danois pour les Réfugiés sur les interventions en cas de catastrophe à la frontière Soudan-Éthiopie.

Fluent in English and Arabic, Mohammed améliore actuellement sa maîtrise de l’italien. Il est passionné par les voyages, la diversité et l’inclusion, et il met à profit son expérience interculturelle et son expertise technique pour soutenir la mission d’ALDA.

Mohammed is the Project Manager of ALDA’s Migration Thematic Hub based in Vicenza managing EU Projects, driven by a passion for migration studies and human rights. He has extensive experience managing EU-funded projects like AMIF, CERV, and other non-EU initiatives. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Development Project Management, he also holds a second-level Master’s degree in International Relations, Cooperation, and Development.

Mohammed began his career in East Africa, working directly with refugees, migrants, and IDPs, where he built a strong regional network. He then moved on to manage projects across East and North Africa, developing project briefs and navigating complex funding landscapes.

In Italy, Mohammed worked with E4Impact Foundation on diverse projects across Africa and the Middle East. His skills encompass project development, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting, and strategic planning. He is certified in PMD Pro+, PMP, Spend Analysis & Budgeting, and Monitoring & Evaluation.

Previously, Mohammed worked as a Country MEAL and Reporting Specialist at COOPI and as a Coordinator for UN-IOM in Sudan. He also collaborated with the Danish Refugee Council on disaster response at the Sudan-Ethiopia border.

Fluent in English and Arabic, Mohammed is advancing his proficiency in Italian. He is passionate about traveling, diversity, and inclusion, and he leverages his cross-cultural experience and technical expertise to support ALDA’s mission.
