SUMMARY:14th EUSDR Annual Forum – Shaping the Future of the Danube Region
DESCRIPTION:On 5–6 November 2025, the EUSDR Annual Forum will take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR). The EUSDR Annual Forum will bring together high-level representatives from the European Union, national governments, regional and local authorities, and civil-society organisations to discuss key priorities for the Danube macro-region.\nOrganised by the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the European Commission and the Danube Strategy Point, the forum provides a collaborative platform to evaluate progress and chart the future of the EUSDR.\nThis 14th edition will focus on EU enlargement, sustainable development, and the socio-economic transformation of the region. The agenda includes sessions on brain drain, youth unemployment, the skills gap, and the role of education in addressing demographic challenges. Participants will also explore opportunities linked to the green and digital transitions.\nThe event will be preceded by the 12th Danube Participation Day, held on 4 November 2025, which will highlight civil society’s role in participatory governance and community-based initiatives within the EUSDR framework.\nParticipation in the Annual Forum is free of charge, and all open sessions will be livestreamed for online participants. The official working language is English.\nRegistration and more info here ( https://danube-region.eu/events/14th-eusdr-annual-forum/ ).\nTo learn more about ALDA’s ongoing commitment to regional cooperation and territorial development click here ( https://www.staging.alda-europe.eu/thematic-hubs/territorial-and-local-development/ ).\n📍 Hotel Holiday, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina\n📆 5–6 November 2025\n
