SUMMARY:International Event: “Involvement of European and Ukrainian Local Authorities in Reconstruction and Modernization of Ukraine”
DESCRIPTION:\nFollowing the Vicenza Conference in November 2023, this one-day international event is designed to advance collaboration between Ukrainian, French, Spanish and Italian partners within ALDA Network. The event aims to prepare Ukrainian and EU local actors for URC 2025 and promote a decentralised, inclusive approach to Ukraine’s reconstruction. A highlight of the event will be the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for LDA Vinnytsia, formalising partnerships with Vinnytsia city and regional council, Dijon and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.\nThis event will provide a practical platform for exchanging experiences and lessons learned, particularly from the LDA network, to support Ukraine’s sustainable recovery. It will help deepen partnerships between Ukrainian and EU municipalities (focused on Italy, France and Spain), contributing to a gradual process of EU-integration of Ukraine. The practical platform will provide valuable opportunities for dialogue, project development, and fostering long-term cooperation between local authorities in both regions.\n📍Dijon, France\n📆 2-3 December 2024\n
